TRYING TO TURN YOU ON TO 100% ELECTRIC DRIVING
WITH NISSAN LEAF
I'm Yoann, my blog is begeek.fr, covering geeky news,
high-tech and the Web.
Today I'm with Nissan
for the Big Turn On challenge.
Fact – 175 kilometres, the range of Nissan Leaf
Challenge – Use them to complete Google Street View of your city
We'll visit Les Sables d'Olonne, see some nice places
and complete Google Street View
with the nicest streets not yet featured.
We'll also check out the Nissan's range.
Here we go.
The car's noise is unsettling.
On a long trip, it must be nice.
It's good to see that with a 100% electric motor,
the pedals are still responsive.
Here's the first street we'll visit:
Rue des Buandières.
The acceleration is good.
Hit it and the car responds.
This street has shells stuck to the walls.
It's pretty and very popular.
Now to the Rue de l'Enfer,
one of the world's narrowest streets.
We'll check it out.
We've finally found Rue de l'Enfer.
The car can't go down.
We've been around Les Sables, seen a few streets.
After all that, we still have
140km of range left. Not bad, I wasn't
expecting to have that much.
Now we'll go to the marshes, see if we can find
a nice street.
Here's one called Rue de la Bonne Vierge.
It should be in Google Street View.
Pity it isn't.
We'll take a panoramic shot.
I like the car's eco mode.
It saves on battery.
It's ample.
My challenge is over, it stops on the marshes.
I've spent nearly all day driving
without ever having to worry
about the car's range. It's been great.
As we've a good few kilometres
before the batteries are flat, let's go back for more photos.
