I am Barnaby,
A bear who always wanted to sing,
But though I loved singing so much,
I sang out of tune among the trees,
Until the King of the Birds gave me a whistle,
So today this bear sings like a Nightingale,
Fiu fiu fiu fiu fiu fiu.
I am Barnaby,
I will be playing for you in the movie,
The show will start now,
So I must run quickly into the forest.
A Morning in Bois-Joli
Our story begins very early in the morning
in a beautiful forest called Bois-Joli
and it was indeed a very pretty forest.
Barnaby!
Yo-ho!
Barnaby! Where are you?
Give me back my sandwich, please!
Please give it back, sir!
Har har har! Never!
Good morning, children! Sit down.
Here, sir!
four ...
four ...
Besides arithmetic Barnaby,
tell us, what else do you know?
Oh, I know music, sir.
I-I know music.
Oh? Well, let's see.
We come to school because it is fun
and there's always lots to be done.
Our teacher is old and wise
when he walks in we arise.
He's the nicest, lot we have learned
teaches us the alphabet
reading, writing and geometry, and
history and geography!
We come to school because it's fun
and there's always lots to be done.
Most of all there is one thing
we all love, and that's to sing.
But for all that's lots of fun
there is quite a bit more to be done
reading, writing and geometry, and
history and geography!
Good morning spring, good morning lovely spring!
Goodbye cold winter, it's time for spring!
The winter's gone and it's all for the best
in every tree there is a nest!
The little birds are learning how to fly
soon they'll be reaching for the sky!
I wish the year could bring more than this one and only spring.
Oh, do stay with us, happy spring!
Oh, do stay with us, happy spring!
This is where we say so long
we'll be back, it won't be long
with a story and a song
when we do we'll come along
with our good friend Barnaby.
With our good friend Barnaby!
