Lucky number 7!!
Grand Valley's national championship
in women's soccer was one reason the
university won its 7th Director's
Cup -- that means the athletic
program once again scored enough
points to be the top Divsion II
program in the country.
The Lakers finished second
in the nation in football
and it placed a total of 16 teams
in postseason play during the 09-10
season, with eleven teams finishing
in the top 10 in the country.
It isn't just about winning
on the field or on the court.
Grand Valley has a tradition
of excellence
in the classroom as well.
We want our student athletes
to look back
on their four-year career
at Grand Valley and be able to say
"I became the best student I can be,
I became the best athlete I can be,
and I became the best person I can
be," and then have them ready
for society.
