Checking and completing the connections to your Samsung front loading washer
and its ability to drain properly are important installation steps.
Follow along with these steps to learn how to set up your appliance with water and how to connect its drain hose.
Before connecting your washer to a water line, check and make sure all accessories such as
the manual and water connection kit are included.
Now, assemble all water hoses with rubber washers for each end and then identify
which source they should be connected to.
Take the hose labeled Hot and connect it to the hot water supply valve. Do the same for the Cold hose.
Do not use a wrench or pliers to tighten. This may cause damage.
Instead you should snugly tighten by hand.
Now, identify the Hot and Cold water inlets on the back of the unit.
Again, identify the correct hose and connect it to its correct inlet. Hot with hot and Cold with cold.
Make sure not to use Teflon tape on any plastic fittings and again do not tighten with a wrench or pliers.
Once all connections have been made, open the house water valves and check for any leaks or kinks in the lines.
Now to connect the drain hose, pay attention not to insert more than 6 inches of the hose into the standpipe or wall drain.
More than 6 inches can cause siphon problems. Next up, assemble the hose guide.
Secure the drain hose with a cable tie and make sure the hose is not restricted or kinked in any way.
To reduce sound during water drain operation, use duct-tape to seal all gaps.
When you are done, plug the unit into a 3 wire grounded AC outlet.
Make sure to take the time to check all of your connections again before filling your Samsung Washer.
