Hi, I'm Kevin speaking on behalf of Expert Village on hiking. When you're considering
a location that you'd like to go hiking in, be sure and consider the animal population
that is already there. There are several reasons for considering what type of animals inhabit
in the area. Obviously safety is one of them and environmental reasons also. For your safety
you may need to dress differently just because of the animal or insect population that is
in that location, but larger animals of course are also a threat in certain areas. You want
to find out if you're in a area where there might be bears. You might want to find out
if this particular type of bear has no fear of humans, because they've been around humans
too much so that you can keep an eye out on that sort of things.
