- We're going to 206 countries...
- In 365 days
in search of happiness.
- Expedition 206.
- The people here are so warm and friendly.
- Every place, everywhere we go to has something special.
- You just see people walking down the street
with smiles on their face all the time.
- And you can see those big smiles.
That is priceless.
- Whoo-hoo.
- Simply smiling. Yeah, I'm already happy.
- I'm happy.
- We're about to fly on this super-cool Coca-cola plane.
Whoo-hoo-hoo.
- Happiness is just having fun with friends.
- My happiness is to be with my family.
- People here, they're having a free time to just chill,
relax with their friends and family at the beach.
- We came out to Madagascar today,
and the smiles that you get here are energetic.
They're magnetic. They are contagious.
It's such a cool environment.
You see that there are so many people that don't have so much.
I mean, lots of people don't even have shoes on out here,
but still, everybody's smiling.
We're out here in Abu Dhabi, and we figured we'd ask people
what activities make them the happiest.
- Just play football.
- Working out, like a bodybuilder.
- Could you show me your guns, man?
doing!
- I think that sports is most important
when it comes to health,
physical health and mental health.
- So here we are in Doha.
Today we're asking what makes them happy
and for them to show us their biggest smile.
- I like to watch movies.
- To be with my friends, to talk with them.
- Play football.
- In general, being happy is a matter
of how you look at life.
- If you smile for 20 minutes a day,
you can lose your mood.
- Okay, so here in Bahrain,
they laid out happiness as something very simple.
- Here in Bahrain,
we have loads of different foods from all over,
because it's a mainly ex-pat population,
and happiness is going out with our friends and eating.
- We love food, food, traveling, family, shopping.
- So before getting to Malaysia,
I met some people on Facebook who were following us
and who happen to be fervent Coke collectors,
so they invited me to come and see their collection
and hang out a bit.
- Anything that do with Coke excites me.
- I collect glass bottles.
This is so precious, as a collector,
to get some hard-to-find bottle, and to me, that's happiness.
- We're in Laos, and it's the day after New Year.
And you can kind of tell, 'cause there is nobody out here.
Like, the streets are deserted.
We're in the Thuong Tin district of Hanoi.
It's a small village outside of Hanoi
about 300 years old.
We visited schools that don't have usable water
until Coca-Cola came in
and provided them with filtration systems
and ways to reach permanent usable water.
Sometimes happiness ends up being
something that we take for granted every day.
And to see the smiles on these kids' faces,
to see how much fun that they're having
it's really huge to see that it wouldn't be possible
without something as simple as fresh water.
- This is a blogger called T Prince.
He asked on his blog what made people happy,
and he came up with the list.
- This is what makes Koreans happy.
- Especially for bloggers, when they unexpectedly--
someone-- some followers.
That kind of stuff makes you happy.
Korea is well known for advanced technology country.
Because of that, I can communicate with you
through Twitter and Facebook.
It gives me more happiness,
and it gives me more, like, interesting life.
- Here we are in front of the Saitama Stadium 2002.
This was built for the World Cup.
People are showing us their celebration,
and it's so cool.
You can see all the passion people has
when it comes to football.
And you can see those big smiles.
That is priceless.
- Hold tight. Hold tight. Hold tight.
- Happiness for Mongolians, it comes from our history,
from our ancestors, the way of living.
And we love it this way.
It's a big country, lots of freedom.
You can go anywhere.
It's the nomad way of living,
and that is the happiness for them.
You're given by god a nice land.
And it's cold and hot in summer,
but everybody's happy with this.
- We came out to Macau for a short trip,
and it's raining hyenas out here.
You know, one thing is, on this trip,
we keep each other happy.
We keep each other entertained on days like this.
- [imitating Elvis] Viva Macau.
Viva, viva...
- Macau. [laughter]
- Macau is really cool.
It used to be a Portuguese colony,
so it's got a really kind of Portuguese-Chinese mix
going on there.
- So we're in SoHo,
one of the places in Hong Kong where East meets West.
- They brought us here
to one of the oldest outdoor markets here in Hong Kong,
because they told us that there is
such vibrant and energetic experience here going on
that we couldn't miss it.
- We actually had a guy stop in the subway the other day
to help us because we were looking at the map.
He said, "Can I help you?"
And it was just such a cool indication
of how cool the people are here.
When you got people in the middle of a busy city
who will stop and just see that you're in need
and try to help you,
that's something that's really cool.
- Whoo-hoo!
- Three happiness ambassadors
traveling to 206 countries where Coca-cola is sold,
discovering and spreading happiness
during a 365-day global journey.
Expedition 206: an epic, unprecedented journey
to uncover the real moments of happiness.
