President Obama concludes European tour with visit to Poland. Meeting on Saturday, May
28 with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk as well as President Bronisław Komorowski,
President Obama paid tribute to the country's currently steady leadership as he also spoke
of the her peaceful transition to democracy in 1989. He went on to say that this experience
could be a model for countries currently seeking similar transformations. President Obama went
on to commend President Komorowski for offering support to Egypt's post-revolution government
as he also expressed his appreciation for the close relations between Poland and the
United States. The Polish president later reflected that the visit signified a new chapter
in the two countries' relations.
