I am here to talk about 80/10/10 raw vegan
What does the numbers 80/10/10 means?
80 means 80% or more calories from carbohydrate
The next number 10 means 10% or less calories from fat
The last number 10 means 10% or less calories from protein
Those numbers, 80/10/10
All foods such as fruits and veggies have what is called macronutrient
Macronutrients are broken down into three, they are carbohydrate, fat, protein
All three are used as a fuel, our body prefer to use carb as fuel
Fat and protein have their use in our body and the ideal is to keep 10% or less calories from fat and protein
Banana have 90% carb, 5% fat and 5% protein
Watermelon happens to have 80/10/10 ratio
Nuts usually have around 60% fat and carb and protein are less
avo, like nuts, are high fat too
Most sweet fruits tends to average around 90/5/5
In reality, the 80/10/10 ratio is enough for our body needs
Too much fat and protein are not good for us
Our body, i.e. brain, muscles etc prefer sugar (carb) as fuel
Yes our body needs fat and protein as long it is 10% or less calories which is sufficient
