Hi my name is Brandon Sarkis on behalf of Expert Village. Today I'm going to show you
how to make a really great holiday caramelized onion and sage stuffing. Okay with regard
for equipment for today's recipe we're going to need a stainless steel bowl to mix up our
cornbread dressing in, our cornbread mixture in, actually make the cornbread. To mix that
up we're also going to need a whisk, or a whip if you're so inclined. We're also going
to need a pan to cook the cornbread in. I'm just going to cook it in muffin tins, cornbread
muffin tins. You get a lot more brown surface area if you do individual muffins as opposed
to one big sheet pan of cornbread because you've got more space here, it's actually
touching in each pan. So, more potential brown and crunchiness that way. We're also going
to need a spatula, a little rubber spatula here. Also, let's see, moving on the actual
making the recipe itself we're going to need a big old sauté pan here, something to sauté
up our onions with our butter and our celery, and our sage. We're also going to need a couple
of bowls. I have a large bowl as well as a small bowl here, that's going to be for mixing
stuff up. And I've also got a dish. Now I prefer to use Pyrex dishes for cooking dressing
that way I can see how much moisture is left in there as I cook it. You can also use a
metal one too but that's the one time you'll actually see me endorse a glass dish that's
for dressing. Just that way you can really see how much liquid you have left in the bottom.
So, and also get an idea of how it's coming out on the bottom as you cook it. So, oh,
also surely I didn't forget this, but as always, towels. So, let's go ahead and get started
learning our cornbread part of the recipe.
