today we will make kamrakh pickle.
we can make chutney with kamrakh,fry kamrakh with green chilly.
we can also make sweet launji from kamrakh
let's see what al ingerdients are required for making kamrakh pickle.
kamrakh - 250 grams
salt - 1 tsp
fennel powder - 1 tsp
mustard powder - 1 tsp (yellow or black)
asafoetida - less then 1/4 tsp
turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
red chilly - 1/2 tsp
mustard oil - 100 grams
let's start with the procedure of making pickle.
take out this yellow line.
make 2 pieces lenghtwise.
make small pieces of pickle as it gets easy to consume them.
remove the seeds.
add oil in pan and let it get hot till smoky point.
oil is hot turn off the gas.
when oil gets little frigid add kamrakh and all spices.
by hetaing the oil all impurities and spicyness of oil gets removed.
now add asafoetida,turmeric powder,fennel and kamrakh.
add salt,yellow mustard,red chilly.
mix all ingredients realy well and then cover it.
cover for atleast 5 minutes so that kamrakh get bit tender and then store it in container.
container to be used for storing pickle should be washed with warm water and dried completely.
if the container is wet or not cleaned properly then pickle will get spoiled soon.
pickle is ready;now store it in container.
within three days pickle willbecome more delicious.
stir after one day so that all spices get mixed up nicely.
kamrakh pickle is ready.
serve it after 3 days for more tempting taste.
it can be stored for 10-15 days as it is.
for more shelf life add some more hot mustard oil in the pickle so that it remains soaked completely.
