The Remote Access service is enabled by default, however you should make sure that there is
a check in the Enable check box.
Next, click on the Settings tab.
Before logging into the Remote Access account for the first time, Seagate recommends that
you verify your Central unit has the latest firmware installed.
If you are not sure if the firmware installed is the latest, click on the Check for Updates
button and install the latest firmware if necessary.
For more information on how to update the firmware, please see the How to Update the
Firmware on Your Central Device tutorial.
After verifying that the Central's Remote Access service is enabled and that you have

During the Getting Started procedure you are prompted to supply an email address and create a password.
After submitting the information requested, a verification email is sent to the address
you provided.
Clicking the link in the body of the verification email will activate your Remote Access account.
