Hi, Ian Sharp, Khemeia Consulting. So we deal with a lot of new technologies; bringing them
to market; developing new products. And one of the key questions is, "How do we control
the costs of doing that and deliver the project on time?" Like most professional engineering
companies, we don't just develop from an idea. We actually have a process. What do we do?
Well we spend a lot of time doing research, component selection and looking at the technical
problems within the idea. If you want your product to be successful, generating the specification
is more about purely the functional aspects of the product. It takes into account the
market attributes, where it's going to be manufactured, what volume, what cost price
and all this makes up part of the specification for the product. Generating a project specification
sounds like a laborious task (and it can be) but it's crucially important that you spend
the time, effort and money doing that and getting it right. So generating a clear product
specification means that you'll end up with a clear project time scale, a clear set of
costs that you're designing to and it will allow the development team to fulfill your
project on time, on cost, on margin and it the right volumes. Why not contact us below
