What's up? My name is Darin. On behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to show you guys
how to create a song using Reason. Alright, so in this segment right here, I'm going to
show you guys the NNXT. This synthesizer is pretty difficult to use. It's one of those,
it's almost like the mouse drummer where you use two different sounds. But this one is
quite different. Say, for instance, that you want to have strings in there but then you
want to have like a heartbeat sound to it, like a deep bass. Well, this is your synthesizer
to do it in. So, searching on the top part, you see the browser. Just go ahead and select
that and select some strings. Once we select that, you'll hear the sound. Once you have
the strings in there, go ahead and choose this little arrow down here, which brings
down another part of the synthesizer. It has another browse folder. So let's go ahead and
select that and it has a bass up here. You can search one of the basses in the redrum
of the doc directs. So I've selected the bass. Once I play that, it has a bass effect to
it. So that's pretty cool with it as well. You can have a release on the strings on the top part. And then on the bottom as
well, you can change it and have a release on the bass. Also you can change the octave
on the bass. Change the file and the semi as well. There's a whole lot of knobs on here
so you might have to experiment with it. But the whole idea of this synthesizer is to use
a sound of melodic or polysynth or monosynth and have like percussion in it as well. So
play around with that.
