So the advantage of a longboard over a skateboard is definitely speed. Speed is key. I mean
- let's say you are going from BSB to a lecture center over here or back to the dorms or even
if you want to go all the way to JST, or Jim's and get a Polish - so that speed is a clear
advantage, especially if you have classes back-to-back, you've only got that 10-minute window. Definitely
take, sort of, paths around the busier areas. The library - the front of the library is
a good place to avoid. The Quad is usually a good place to avoid unless you're dead center.
With this length of board you get a lot more stability. It's also a lot wider
than a skateboard is. You get a lot of different places to put your feet. Got a lot more grip
tape on the surface than a skateboard will allow for. I've hit people before. People
that had their headphones in and aren't paying attention at all and uh...it's a problem for
many reasons, especially for bikers and longboarders.
