Hey guys this is Hugo Izzo with Expert Village. This segment is on bird hunting, particularly
dove and quail hunting. It's a great, great sport. If you dove and quail hunt you know
exactly what I'm talking about. Quail hunting has deep roots in the south. There is a lot
of tradition wrapped up with quail hunting. The old time horse and buggy with the dogs
working and having the handlers on horse back. It's just a wonderful, wonderful time. Some
of you like myself have probably kicked quail around old farms and hedge rows, just walking
them up and shooting them as you flushed. There is nothing more exciting and exhilarating
than having a covey of quail exploding right up in front of your feet. Also, in the south
is dove hunting. Even though these aren't particular to the south they are a long time
tradition. Dove hunting is one of those sports where you go to the field, as you know, and
you shoot dove in the afternoon over fields that have been harvested or fields that have
been planted for the specific purpose of hunting dove. The limits are usually quite liberal
and it's a great afternoon, a great morning, hunting is a lot of camaraderie and just a
great time for friends and family to be together.
