Today we've been to the Ars Electronica Center, to see the Family Days.
Today was the first voestalpine Klangwolke - Workshop with Marco Palewicz, enjoy!
What do have in your hands, a new toy?
It's a sensor that "hears" and amplifies electromagnetic waves.
But it doesn't hear anything, it amplifies!
Yeah, probably. But normally you wouldn't hear those waves, check this out.
Those are things you can record and upload to Soundcloud, which is the goal of all of us here.
This was a smooth transition to today: Today's the first Workshop at the SoundLab.
We just found out I'm not emitting electromagnetic waves.
How does this workshop work? Can I drop in any time? Do I have to sign up?
During the Family Days you can come any time, as you wish.
Are you talking about yourself in the pluralis majestatis?
Yeah. No, Phil and Mitra are helping me handling the studio today and making the workshop happen.
Of course there are also workshops where you have to sign up for them, remix-workshops.
But we also leave the Center and go outside
You probably should register at the cashier desk, since we only have limited space in here.
We have 6 workstations in here, two people can work at one, so that's about the maximum.
You can use the cabin for vocals, you're inside a closed room in there.
And you learn how record sound and how to mix it.
You're ready? Ok, go!
You're ready? Ok, go!
Let's see if we can make this sound even worse.
Let's see if we can make this sound even worse.
Of course you can use the PC as well to upload sounds to Soundcloud.com, not only the app.
So, that's it. Marco wants to say something.
Yeah, see you next time, I had a lot of fun and hope that a lot of you will come next time!
