TINA STULL: Hi, I'm Tina Stull and I drive the Top Dragster for Interstate Batteries.
On behalf of Expert Village, today, we're going to talk about the basics of racing.
Then we go to Super Comp which--in the Super Comp class, it's an 890 index. You can run
both cars or dragsters, the real dragsters. Typically, it's considered the real dragster
class. It's set on 890 and it features a head-up competition. So you both leave the starting
line, you leave on a pro tree, which is a [SOUNDS LIKE] 4-0 tree, and it's one of the
largest classes. They usually run a hundred plus cars. I've seen some of the larger events
having more than 200 cars. So you've gotta be good and lucky on that one. Then you go
to Super Gas. Super Gas is a lot like Super Comp, only it's a 990 index and there are
no real dragsters allowed. So this is all going to be door cars. They have to have full
fenders, hoods, grills, tops, windshields and functional doors on this. The left-sided
roadsters are allowed, but not center-steered roadsters. It's governed by the same rules
as Super Comp. Just with that different index, it's also a heads-up tree, so you're talking
a pro tree.
