This Friday, PCC Sylvania
will launch its Learning Garden Project
as part of City Repair's 10th Village Building Convergence.
This exciting campaign, which lasts from May 28-June 6,
will bring together volunteers from throughout the PCC community
to create a covered relaxation area in the PCC Sylvania Learning Garden.
The garden is being developed as an interdisciplinary Living Laboratory,
designed to demonstrate principles of sustainability such as producing organic food,
composting leftovers and growing natural dyes.
Using reclaimed and locally sourced materials,
and led by Natural Builder Bernhard Masterson,
the structure will exemplify a plethora of green building techniques.
We invite you all to join us and help create this beautiful space together.
Contact information as well as volunteer
and workshop schedules can be found on the
Village Building Convergence page at pcc.edu
