Hello and welcome to this video. I'm your librarian Brittany. Today I'll me guiding you through Gorgas Library. For those that don't
know, the library is located behind the quad and in front of Clark Hall.
Let's begin our exploration of the library on the first floor.
Upon entering through the first floor entrance you'll immediately notice all the Mac and PC Computer stations available.
The first floor is a loud floor and is a great space for collaborative activities.
Complete with a java city the first floor will keep you wired and awake while working or cruising the government documents,
the music library,
or any of our ready reference materials.
To the right of the entrance you'll see the information desk.
At the information desk, trained information professionals can help you look for books in
the catalog, find articles in databases or give you directions to anywhere you wish to go.
If you ever need help, don't be afraid to ask a librarian. You can call, text, e-mail or come visit us in the library.

Here on the second floor we have the circulation desk. At the circulation desk you can check out books
or check out laptops to use while in the library.
We also have great study areas in the back where you can practice your presentations or work on large group projects.
The second floor is also home to the Stanford Media Center. Here you can use a recording studio,
check out camera equipment to make a video,
or learn how to use software like Photoshop.

Here on the third floor
you'll see plenty of computers, both Mac and PCs, as well as individual quiet study space.
Again this is a quiet floor just like the 2M and 4M floors. For a super, silent study space - go to the basement.
