We are a traditional Piano house that exists since 25 years.
We take care of 5000 clients and
sell pianos, grand pianos and digital pianos.
These pianos need to be tuned from time to time or after some years they have to be repaired in our in-house repair shop.
In the past, customers found us with the help of telephone directories or also thanks to mouth-to-mouth propaganda.
Today, with Google AdWords, the target group changed. Nowadays we target the whole German-speaking part of Switzerland.
We work in a very traditional sector with a conservative product that needs a lot of counseling.
Nevertheless it is very interesting how we reach clients through Google AdWords that get informed with the help of our website
and then come to our shop where we try to finalise the consultation with a successful purchase.
For us, it is essential and vital for our business, to always acquire new customers.
Google Analytics shows that approximately 73% of the visitors on our homepage are new visitors
and approx. 90% come with the help of Google AdWords.
Our old website only showed product categories, but in 2010, we completely revised it to give our customers the possibility, when searching on Google
to find a specific product on our website, that they were exactly looking for.
We started to work with Google Adwords in November 2007
and since then the revenue grew continously and even doubled until the end of last year.
This year, the revenue increased again by 10%.
The particularity about ROI for us is, that we can measure it!
The factor is 1:4.
So if we invest one Swiss Frank in advertisement, we get back around 4 Swiss Franks in revenue at the end of the year.
We could almost, just like on an ocean liner,
raise the tempo by increasing the budget and then move more customers.
At the moment, we are also testing mobile campaigns,
because we learnt, that in Switzerland the search market for mobile and tablets is increasing by 300% since last year
and we also want to reach specifically these people.
Google AdWords is a massive instrument,
it is worth to invest time and to learn how it works,
then success will follow.
