Only two days left, and no one knows who'll come out on top.
Barack Obama and Mitt Romney are scrambling
for last-minute votes in what could turn out to be
a historically close presidential election.
Shane Taurima is in Chicago,
where Barack Obama will end up on election night.
There are two types of votes - the popular vote,
which polls suggest Obama has a slight lead,
but only marginally;
and the second is the electoral vote,
which decides who will win the White House.
The polls show Obama leading the electoral vote,
and political analysts say that only one thing is clear -
it's still anyone's race.
But maybe a Maori police officer we met in Utah knows.
We joined Clifford Chase on patrol
when he spotted a car allegedly up to no good.
Clifford fights crime in West Valley
in the state of Utah.
We'll come back to this, but first to the point of our story.
Clifford is a staunch Mormon.
And it's because of his faith that he supports Mitt Romney.
Clifford says the president doesn't have a good record,
especially on economic matters.
Obama is fighting a tough fight to stay here at the White House.
But Clifford Chase says America needs new and proven leadership.
Back to the car, and in case you wondering,...
the driver was unlicensed.
He was able to keep his car, but was issued with a $140 fine.
Tomorrow will see both Romney and Obama campaigning
in key swing states – states that are as yet undecided.
Ohio is one of the major swing states which both candidates
are lobbying for on the premise that whoever gets Ohio
is likely to get the White House.
That was Shane Taurima, reporting from the US.
