Citizenship A cuisine
Citizenship is a like a cuisine, it has so many different ingredients
but when they are all mixed together we get a delicious aroma.
And people in each country have their different traditions and they belong to different religions and sects and come from different roots
and in order for a country to flourish, people must coexist and like each other
citizenship is the factor that organizes and mixes all different traditions and cultures so the country has its unique aroma and different tastes.
Citizenship means that people have rights and obligations, and they are all equal
with no discrimination on any level such as religion, sect, family, financial status or any political or intellectual affiliation.
And for the citizenship concept to be real, a citizen must be active
and must participate in running the country and setting laws, monitoring and applying them.
And this way, the active citizen is the one who cares for his/her country benefit and who is keen on developing it,
for example, when the trash man performs his duties fully, he is an active citizen, and when an accountant is honest and accurate,
she is an active citizen, and when a journalist criticizes corruption she is an active citizen and so on
Citizenship is based on 3 main basics: The first base is equality
Equality is like water or oil to the cuisine, without it we cannot make any kind of food,
and equality means that all people have equal education opportunities and job opportunities
with no need for bribes, and it also means that all people are equal in front of justice where there is no corruption,
and that we can hold any one in power accountant for being corrupt and get access to information that helps us sue them.
The second base is freedom, and freedom is like the dish type, we cannot make the same dish every day,
and it means that a citizen is free and safe to believe in any religion of idea and practice his/her religion rituals freely.
Freedom also means that a citizen can move in or outside the country without any boundaries and where no one take away his/her passport.
A citizen is also able to talk freely and discuss any problem in his/her country or its future with his/her fellow citizens,
and he/ she can support or oppose any issue or political position, even if it was against the regime, the president or the parliament.
And it means that a citizen is free to participate in conferences and meetings that have a political nature or not.
The third base is participation, which is like salt and spices to a dish, without it we will get no aroma or flavor,
and it means that a citizen participates in setting the country's internal and foreign policy, as well as setting constitution and laws
and put pressure on the state via nonviolence demonstrations to make people in power change their policy, programs or decisions.
And it means that he/she can vote in all kinds of public elections
with the opportunity to participate in establishing political parties and associations or any organization that helps serving the society
and be a member in one of them, and he/she can nominate him/herself to run into elections including presidential elections.
And as we said before, citizenship is the cuisine that gathers all ingredients of a society to form a country
