a next job, or a better job, we can help in the search.

qualify for the job you want we can help with that too. The amount of help available
is pretty comprehensive.
We will just scratch the surface in this video but you can always jump
to the website for the complete tour of services.
Hi, I’m Mike Roy and I’ll be your guide as we take a quick look at Brevard Workforce by
answering a few of your questions.
Let's get started.
a lot of information you need can be found online, but when you want a personal
face-to-face meeting,
you can visit one of our three full-service Career Centers.
You can choose your first step based on how you like to work. You may prefer to
go online and do our complete tour to see what’s available and then start thinking about
gathering your paperwork.
And then you can continue online. Or if you’d like help from an experienced guide,
you can go into one of our Career Centers.
so this is the Career Center, here in Titusville,
Right now let’s say I’m you, only taller,
I'm going to go inside and see what happens.
Good morning. Welcome to Brevard Workforce.
"How can I help you today?" "I’m looking for a job."
Okay, well have you been to any of our other Career Center locations?
"No." "And Are you currently collecting unemployment?" "No."
Okay, this blue paper here shows you a schedule of our some of our weekly activities, things that
we have going on. You’ll also have a pamphlet about Employ Florida Marketplace,
and then you have some invitations so some of our workshops that are coming up
that may help you with your job search. So let me give you those.
"And then we will get you started. Let me have you come into this room here." "Okay."
Okay, so you are on your way. That wasn’t so hard, right?
Now look at the resources they have available for you.
Modern computers with internet access, laser printers, copiers, telephones
with long distance, fax machines,
all at no cost to you as long as the services are work search related.
If you haven’t done it already,
you should use of these computers to go online to Employ Florida.
When you complete a full registration on this website and put in all of your
information, you will immediately broaden your search to the entire state,
and employers know this is a great place to find potential workers and you need
to make sure they see you when they search
Thanks to advances in technology,
you now have the ability to view job listings for federal, state, and local
businesses. Build a resume, *** your skills and interests, and research labor
market information, all from one location.
Employ Florida is one of the best resources you can use in your job search,
so check it out.
Mr. Roy, do you have time to meet with me now?
Yes (to camera) Now I’m a military spouse.
My wife is stationed at Patrick Air Force Base and I need a job while we are here.
I can help you with that. We have a saying
around here, “high tech and high touch,” You’ve seen the “high-tech” part, now let’s see what I can do for you.
"Okay. So tell me a bit about your work history." "Oh well we’ve moved around a lot so."
A Brevard Workforce Team Member can help you develop a job search plan
that meets your specific needs.
You can also develop a new resume',
find labor market information, search for jobs, review education and
and training options to enhance your skills,
ask questions on unemployment and find other community resources.
Well, that was easy.
"Thanks for your help." "My pleasure."
Of course there’s always paperwork.
So you need to gather information so Brevard Workforce can ease you through the
transition process.
Here’s a list that shows some examples.
And of course you will want to fill out a Master Application that you can get either online
or at a Career Center
and then keep that information handy.
Now in my job search I find that I need more training.
So I’m here with Rachael George who’s going to help me learn more about the help that’s
available
