Hey Guys, I'm Justin. And I'm Tatiana.
And we're here with PB Teen and we're going to take you through a fun flag tie-dye project.
It's fun to hang around your room, or for parties, and it's an awesome project.
Yeah, so let's get started.
We're using a tie-dye kit that we got at the local craft store,
and it comes with bottles, dye, rubber bands, and gloves.
And you need natural cotton, and a bucket of water,
and of course, a place where you won't get in trouble for making a mess.
And also since we're making a flag, we got a grommet kit,
that we got from our local craft store.
The first step is to wet the fabric so it will absorb the dye better.
The next step is so you take your cloth, you scrunch it up,
you can put it into different formations,
put a rubber band around it, so you can make cool patterns.
Now's the fun part, we get to use the dye, and we like to use two or three colors,
because it's more fashionable.
Okay, so after coloring the fabric, you have to let it settle for about six to eight hours.
We like to use a re-sealable bag so the dye is set better, and the fabric stays more moist.
After you pull out your dyes, rinse it with warm water.
Then throw it into the washing machine and wash it with hot water, but make sure
to tell your parents so the entire house doesn't end up with tie-dye colors.
You can toss it in the dryer or hang it out on the clothes-line.
Now that the fabric's dry, we're going to hammer in the grommets.
And then you can hang it up on a rope or just tack it in your room.
It's a fun project to do with your friends.
Or your sister! Or your sister. Have fun, get creative, and have a great summer.
