This video explains how to uninstall your HP printer drivers. This video does not show how to uninstall other software that might have installed with the driver.
To uninstall the driver, first unplug the USB cable from the printer.
From your computer, click on the Windows icon.
In the Search programs and files box, type uninstall to bring up a list of uninstall options.
Click Uninstall a program from the control panel section of the search results.
In the list of installed programs, click the name of your HP printer that also has the word "software" in the title.
With the printer highlighted, click on Uninstall from the top of the window.
You might be asked to confirm that you want to uninstall the printer.
Click the Yes button to confirm that you want to proceed with the uninstall.
The Windows installer will open and begin the uninstall process.
When the user account control window opens, click the Yes button to allow the uninstall to proceed.
The uninstaller program will begin to remove the files from the computer.
If you did not remove the USB cable from the printer before now, you will be prompted to do so at this point.
Remove the USB cable from the back of the printer.
Once the cord is removed, go back to your computer and click the OK button.
The uninstaller program will continue removing the rest of the printer files from the computer.
When the uninstall is complete, the Windows installer screen will close.
You will be returned back to the Uninstall or change a program screen. At this point, the printer driver is uninstalled.
