From escalating violence in Pakistan to a controversial anti-gay bill in Uganda,...
we connect live with our world news correspondent Yoo Li-an from Arirang News Center.
Li-an, what's making headlines around the globe at this hour?
Hi, Conn-young. At least 30 militants have reportedly been
killed in air strikes carried out by the Pakistani military.
Officials say the nation's air force bombarded the hideouts of Taliban militants near the
Afghan border on Tuesday morning. It's the latest in a series of attacks launched
by the military in recent days, and follows a a breakdown in peace talks between the Pakistani
government and Taliban militant negotiators last week, after a Taliban-linked group said
they had killed 23 soldiers.
