Could you please name the metro stations which are expected to be built in the next five years
and what defines the priority for their construction?
Ivan Besedin, head of the Moscow metro
We have talked already about 2011.
2012 is about Novogireyevo and Novokosino.
I will say why.
Where there is a certain work-in-progress on sites, these sites are being realized.
Or if there is a certain project documentation, although not everything is
accepted and we constantly introduce correctionsů
Stations of the near future, or construction of new stretches of metro lines or construction of new lines
also takes this factor into account.
It also depends on the density of population of an area,
which can serve as grounds for initiating construction works.
Even well-developed projects which do not meet these criteria have been reviewed and rejected or rescheduled.
And there were several such projects which were already developed but were not approved.
Thus, in 2012 from Novogireyevo there will be a line to Novokosino and a "Novokosino" station
will be constructed there.
Novokosino is a large residential area.
From Mitino to the Pyatnitskoe Highway two kilometers of road will be constructed
as well as a station and depot.
The Zamoskvoretskaya metro line will be extended to Brateyevo, another large residential area,
and a depot will be built there.
This stretch will be 2.9 km.
In 2012 a second entrance hall will be build for the "Maryina Roscha" station.
Four stations and 8.5 km will be constructed at working lines.
2013 will be marked by "Delovoy Tsentr" and "Park Pobedy".
It will be connected by a stretch of 2.4 km in 2013.
The Butovskaya line, which is a continuation and formation of the Solntsevskaya line.
It is very necessary in order to create a new alternative and discharge highways and metro lines.
It is one of the important criteria.
In order to discharge overburdened metro lines we need to create transfer options
and new independent radial lines.
This will allow us to significantly empty the center and those areas
where traffic-carrying capacity is exceeded.
So everything that is done is aimed at meeting this objective.
The continuation of the Butovksaya line from "Staro Kachalovskaya" until "Bitstsevsky Park"
will create the possibility of transfering from the Kalugsko-Rizhskaya line to the Serpukhovskaya line.
This will certainly allow a more versatile transfer in the area to be provided,
to discharge as well as redistribute the flow of passengers between these two lines without
forcing passengers to reach the center and without overburdening other routes.
Two stations will be built in Vykhino and Zhulebino in 2013.
These two stations will be "Lermontovsky Prospekt" and "Zhulebino".
This will allow the traffic of passengers formed in Vykhino to be dispersed
due to buses bringing large groups of passengers at once.
At the same time, it is an opportunity to organize an additional transfer from railroad to metro
bypassing the "Vykhino" station.
This will discharge the already overburdened "Vykhino" station.
These additional alternatives will allow us to allocate passengers at different stations.
We will have to build a second entrance hall at the "Baumanskaya" station of the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line.
This is necessary because the present hall as well as station mechanisms will require renovation in 2013.
At the end of 2013, after the new exit is introduced,
the old exit will remain closed for renovation work on the escalators.
