I'm Simon from Guitarist Magazine, guitars with a cool graphic finish have a special
place in the hearts of we grizzled rock and metal fans and in the September issue of Guitarist
Magazine we'll be featuring no less than 4 currently available electrics that boast an unusual paint job.
They'll all be reasonably affordable and widely available, facts that can't, in
all good conscience be applied to this beauty, it's taken us the best part of 2 years to
get hold of one but here it is; the mega limited edition Ibanez Joe Satriani JS20TH. As you
can see it's cooler than a polar bears conkers at midnight and it offers an almost too amazing
3D realisaton of the Silver Surfer taken from the sleeve of Joe's most famous album; Surfing
with the Alien. Pickups comprise of a dimarzio fret in the bridge and a path pro in the neck,
there's a ubiquitous edge bridge and hey even the case is something special! We'll be putting
the guitar through it's tonal paces using this amp rig, it's Joe's signature head a
Peavey JSX120 through a dedicated 4x12 cab. To start us off here's the guitar bridge
postition using the Peavey's ultra channel. 0:01:13.150:,0:01:59.130 [music]
There we go. Our graphic guitar roundup is going to feature models from Washburn, Dean,
Schecter and Jackson as well as this fantastic Ibanez JS and it's going to appear in the
September issue of Guitarist Magazine which is on sale on the 1st September, what do you
say, let's boogie.
