What's great about Ann Arbor? Local retail. And you can't talk about local retail without
talking about Downtown Home and Garden. This Ann Arbor institution with an immensely loyal
following has grown so much in its hundred year history. What started as a livery stable
serving water and hay all day long for ten cents has grown unbelievably to include many
different parts. You have to see it to believe it. Come on, follow me. It all started with
hay and water. That's right, this hundred year old building with only two owners started
as a livery stable serving, all day long, hay and water for just ten cents. Ten cents!
Prices may have gone up a little bit. I'm guessing this hay is probably still close
to that price. If you go inside, you're going to see a myriad of products. Seed to table
gardening and kitchenware. It's incredible. So whether you're a weekend gardener or it's
a full time profession, Downtown Home and Garden has the gardening supplies for you.
From tools to flowers to mulch, anything you need to make your job that much easier. Downtown
Home and Garden has to have the most unique selection of home products and kitchenware.
An ever expanding enterprise, Downtown Home and Garden has expanded into patio furniture
and built this incredible green house. The selection here is terrific. Can I get some
more tea? And of course don't forget Mark's Carts, probably the hottest new place to eat
in Ann Arbor. Downtown Home and Garden might need to change their name to Downtown Home
and BEER Garden. You heard me right. This site that I'm standing on is the future home
of Bill's Beer Garden. Yet another enterprise everly expanding this wonderful institution.
You'll be able to sit out here, drink a cold beer, and shop in this wonderful store and
enjoy the sunshine. What's better than that? So with Downtown Home and Garden, nature is
never too far away and if you're looking to buy or sell a home, get in touch with me.
I'm Jeffrey Post and that's what's great about Ann Arbor.
