Mixed media is a great thing to add to clay. You definitely want to do it while it's wet,
obviously. We want to make sure our sculpture is exactly how we want it because we're not
going to be playing around with it anymore. We're not going to be moving and adding water
as much. So we want to make sure that this is exactly how we want our structure. Now
what we'll do is we'll choose our mixed media to add. When we do add it, we want to make
sure that we are applying it, when we apply it that we are taking into consideration that
the clay is going to dry and if we were to say add a whisker, we want to make sure that
when we apply this in, that the hole isn't rounded like this. Because that will fall
out. We want to make sure that when we put it in, we put it in far enough and that it's
in there and the hole that it's in is really tight and secure. That's the key to doing
the whisker part. The same thing applies if we were to do something with a tail, of a,
like a pipe cleaner. We want to make sure that the pipe cleaner is in the shape that
we want it before we insert it and then when we do, we want to make sure that we have a
little bit of water around to really make sure that, that is in there tight.
