Hello, pretties!
It's been a while since my last update
For today's look, I've done a summer glow makeup
For this glowy-not-sticky skin, stay tuned!
It's a talk through video with all the details
You can learn my top tips for foundation & concealer
Also, get a glimpse of how I do my breezy summer hair
It feels very light on skin and lasts longer
FYI, I'm wearing Soiree by JinSoon on my nails
It's meant to be topped over a normal polish,
But, I'm also loving it on its own
I've already put a sunscreen
It's a mineral sunscreen that I can wear makeup on
Then, a new foundation to try for the first time!
My friend tossed me this foundation
Check out the shade
It has a right amount of neutral yellow in it,
That covers up redness and discoloration well
Still, it's not too sallow. Love it!
The foundation is putting on only half of my face
To show you how it works
on your R : with foundation / on your L : bare face
Let's move on to the rest half
I usually focus on the center of my face and chin,
Where I have a lot of discoloration
That's where I start applying my foundation
And I'd love to even out my skin there first
Then, I just thin it out for the rest of my face
When I want a real seamless finish,
I'd use a buffing brush
It's one of the brushes in core collection
I'm really thining out the any edges
Especially, sides of my face and hairline
Don't put extra foundation on the brush!
Take off any excess with the brush
Move onto the concealer
Mix two shades to match your skin tone
You can mix it with the foundation left on your hand
To give it more slip
And to make the shade disappear into your skin
Hot mess here...
My skin has been quite reactive recently
(Just dab it on the blemishes and any discoloration)
I always clean out shadowy area around my lips
So, that was the first step of concealing
Then, take any small, feathery brush
It could be an eyeshadow brush like this
Start buffing out the concealer
Take off any edges
You can do this with fingers if you want
You can also take the mixture directly with the brush
Simply put it on the targeted area
And take off the harsh edges
Take your time for concealing!
Here's how I cover up my scar
Again, dab it on and take off the edges
You can do this with fingers
Or with the brush we've been using
My skin has not been great recently
And I think I've done a great job at concealing
A quick hair styling tip for my breezy summer hair
When my hair is still wet, I use a curling essence
Take a small amount of it and spread it over your palm
Put it on the ends of your hair
And then, literally just squeeze it
Try to give it some textures
It doesn't have to be precise
Now, you can blow dry or just let it dry itself
For today, I think I'd just let it be
Because I'm in a rush!
I want to give more body to the roots
That's it!
I'll move onto the brows
You can do the both brows at the same time
But, I'm quite used to doing it
And I've already finished the one
As always, start from the lower line
And then sketch out the overall shape
Fill in the brows with small strokes
Don't just try to finish it one big stroke!
Keep working with small, feathery strokes
That mimic your own brow
That's pretty much done
If you rarely pluck off your brows like I do
And love fully grown eyebrows,
Get the most of the brows with a clear mascara!
Just set them in the direction of the hair growth
I want my brows to look real
Let's go back to the skin
I want a real glow that looks believable
I'll take a small amount of this cream highlighter
I'm melting it with my finger
I always highlight my cheek bones
Simply just dab it on your skin
Press it gently
And add a little bit of glow to the brow bones
A tiny bit on the bridge of the nose
Don't forget the cupid bow
New in! Extreme Neutrals by Laura Mercier!
I'll take the
I'm adding a touch of shadow over my lid
Like this
Take the same shade with a pencil brush
Take it along the lower lash line
Get it quite close to the lash line
Dust a thin layer of powder
On cheeks, cuz I don't wanna mess my powder blush
And hair line
Don't dust off the glow on the cheek bone!
RMK ingenious powder cheeks!
It's my first RMK blush
My friend tossed this one too
It's so pretty!
It's a slightly muted orange beige
At first coat, It feels like a watercolor
Then, as you move on
It has a quite good amount of payoff
Also, it has finely milled pearls in it,
Which are barely seen and add a nice shiny finish
So, I've added a wash of color on my eyes and cheeks
Now I need some definition and sparkles
It's actually a discontinued product
One of the last summer's limited editions
I don't understand why they're not bringing it back!
It has shades of jelly shadows and blushes
It's one of the most beautiful sparkles ever
It's really fine yet gives a nice shimmery effect
It feels a bit wet with a buttery texture
I'd say it's a reminiscence of a sandy beach
Going back to the Laura Mercier extreme neutrals
I'd go for , a shimmery light gold
I'm creating a diagonal angle here
It adds even more sandy effect
Take a deluxe crease brush to blend out any edges
It's a liquid eyeliner, and I'm using my
Thumbnail as a palette for this
I don't really like the applicator
So I'm using a eyeliner brush
Start from the edge and create a little flick
It's one of the most long lasting eyeliner ever
It doesn't budge once it sets
If you have oily lids that
Every eyeliner tried smudges on your eyes
Try this one
I'm just adding definition to the roots of the lashes
You can just use a wipe
To get rid of the eyeliner on the nail
I've told about thinking about directions
When you apply your mascara
Please check out the mascara Howto video for details
I'm finishing up with a tinted gloss for the lips
It looks very clear at first,
And then it gets brighter in few seconds
So, don't put too much at once
