Hi! My name is David Saulesco. I live in Sweden, way up in northern Europe. We don't
have penguins or polar bears running around in the streets up here, but we do have reindeer,
moose and of course lots and lots of snow. At least this time of year.
When I was a kid, I taught myself how to play the piano by playing along with my Game Boy
and ever since then I've had a particular love for music in computer and video games.
When I was sixteen I wrote my own first soundtrack to a game called Eternal Daughter,
by Jon Perry and Derek Yu, who's gone on to make more great games like Spelunky and Aquaria.
The latest game featuring my music is a platform adventure game called Me and My Dinosaur 2.
It's got a touching story, challenging levels, beautiful hand-drawn graphics and of course
fantastic music by yours truly.
Along with the game, I want to release the music as a stand-alone soundtrack. It's got
over an hour of music divided into 40 tracks. And, I'd like to do a physical print run besides
releasing it on Bandcamp, iTunes, Spotify, etcetera, etcetera.
However, I've got a problem. The music needs to be mastered before it can be published
and CD mastering is a fairly complex process that I need to hire a professional for, which
is fairly expensive.
Simply put, mastering means preparing the music so that it sounds equally good in anything
from laptop speakers to high-end audio systems. Without mastering, the music could potentially
sound strange or even really bad depending on how and where you listen to it.
And even though I can get a reasonably good deal on both mastering and CD pressing, my
budget doesn't allow for much of either. That's why I'm running this campaign, to help fund
the last steps of making the soundtrack.
If you want to help, you're not going away empty-handed. Apart from my eternal gratitude
(of course), you'll be able to get both the downloadable soundtrack and the physical print
once they've been released, as well as even more goodies if you're feeling really generous.
So, basically, you're pre-ordering the soundtrack.
And, by the way, here are some samples of what the music sounds like!
As you can tell, the soundtrack spans many styles and emotions, just like the game itself does.

I really hope you want to help me finalize my album. If you have any questions about
the music, the game or just wanna say hi, please feel free to e-mail me at this address.
