the fox news white house war update there's been this war between the four
fox news in the white house
the white house has been claiming that the white house or rather fox news isn't
claiming that the white house attacks on there have been making the rating
skyrocket
it turns out it's simply not true
may remember i said i disagreed with the white house criticism of fox news
and that there's no possible upside to it and and every week that we think
about this i still and subscribe to that that the up side for the white house
directly attack fox news
is essentially nonexistent regardless fox has said that their ratings have
skyrocketed as a result
it turns out they have a if we can if we look at total viewers from two weeks
before
the attacks and two weeks after ratings have uh... increased about two percent
and it's such a small change that it would be very hard to say that it
directly relates to those criticisms
occurred but i doubt it
n even if it did
is i'm not really impressive if it's not impressive by any means no and ratings
do fluctuate they're not the same in two percent
and it's not
if we look at
if we went from idon't know
whatever channel the super bowls on
and whatever show would normally be on a six thirty in the afternoon on saturday
night
the superbowl sunday
and you see that ratings quadruple
it's safe to say this because of super bowl sunday
now for a dings went up two percent
it would be hard who make the case that ratings have increased because of the
super bowl right i think this is kind of the same case agri wrote
scott ritter has pled guilty scott ritter is the killer
of abortion doctor
and this is the kansas case where a discovery request rot to death
abortion doctor george chiller
he was defiant and unapologetic
use accused of shooting the kansas abortion provider and then confessed to
the slang on monday telling the associated press that he killed the
doctor
to protect unborn children and we knew that this was going to be his
explanation we didn't know
if he would plead guilty
scott raiders fifty-one kansas city missouri he spoke to the eight p_m_ a
telephone call from jail
he says he plans to argue at his trial that he was justified in shooting doctor
george tiller
at the wichita church that he attended in may
and he said because of the fact that pre-born children's lives were in
imminent danger
this was the action ajaz
i want to make sure that the focus is obviously on the pre-war in children and
the necessity to defend them
defending innocent life that's what prompted me
it's pretty simple he said
no i don't have any regrets
because i've been told so far at least for women have change their minds that i
know of
and i've chosen to have their baby
so even if one changed her mind it would be worth it
i don't have any regrets also refusing to apologize for the ***
not a surprise that this was the angle he was taking
it says here that while he confessed
this dozens of dress what his plea will be and it sounds like he will try to
plead not guilty based on the fact that he says he was defending lives in taking
one
where will that go
ranchers car will be locked up
uh... ronaldinho i don't think so never been anything who will be because of
that the jury's bias
against abortion i mean we don't even know what the jury will be at this point
it's hard to say carter now i don't know
hike in a marriage in that
it based on the legal system
is any kind of a viable defense and we've had jenny carol on the show an
attorney propeller
and allow for faster to talk about whether this is a viable defense and it
could be attempted but legally it doesn't really stand up
right i don't see anything less them now
huge amount of jail time happening life in prison possibly cheerleader well up
al gore feels that brock obama actually did deserve the noel noble prize take a
listen to what he said
hasn't changed the uh... relationship between the united states and the rest
of the world in a very dramatic way
in a short period of time
i think that his opening through the moslem world was a very significant
uh... step
uh... i think that it's always difficult in the near term for the speculate on
what history will
will judge later on but but i think his moves toward indian nuclear rising the
world and building a coalition against iran getting nuclear weapons are among
the things i mentioned that i i think that he's observing reciprocate
i'd like al gore
and i think it is great work
i don't know that a agree with him
that barack obama is a deserving recipient based on what he said in
changing the ad attitudes of people remember
he was nominated for the nobel prize only eleven days after taking office
so i don't know that al gore's explanation really stands out al gore
leoni the head of the lonely only crime family
but it's like just becoming president was uh...
and having the middle name was saying was a a big change their eyes and
therefore you qualify for the nobel peace prize i don't know i think it's a
pretty weak case i'm sticking with i think is slowly changing the world's
view of the u_s_
for better yes or definitely
will will see i think that this is a blessing with that
they have history looks back at it the kind of just don't care about the nobel
prize right lobe of the thing is you get one point four million dollars which
brock obama is is donating but maybe it could have gone to somebody
poo did a little bit more i mean it's it's kind of a lot of money right but
this is a very bad country
that's being donated it is you did donate something great onshore
i don't know to watch the presumably to something great
two years ago
on mid-week politics we were talking about
john mccain
and john mccain was at a rally where someone and one of his constituents that
up
and said regarding hillary clinton
at the time assuming that hillary clinton would be the democratic nominee
for president
how can we beat the ***
and i think you'll remember talking about a that on the show
three years ago on maybe politics to newark for years
this was two years ago for mccain three years ago one year one extra year back
nancy pelosi
being elected uh... as the first
female speaker of the house and remember
how that how that happened
how do you think nancy pelosi is done so far
fine i guess she certainly gets a
a lot more media attention then than the previous speakers of the house of course
we had
dennis have stared
and john bainer
i guess the attention is deserved
nancy pelosi has has made some strange
p_r_ decisions in terms of the things she said and done
certainly well liked by her constituency and
we will see what how her legacy continues
and of course she will be up for reelection again shortly
and i i think it's pretty safe to say she is a safe
democratic seat
representing
san francisco and that entire district from california certainly doesn't seem
like it was three years ago
