A Ngapuhi mother is fighting for her children in Algeria.
She and her three children were taken there by her husband,
but he then kidnapped the children and tossed their passports.
Accusations and great concerns from Mihi Puriri for her three children.
Mihi Puriri claims her children's passports
were taken by her husband Mohamed Azzaoui
when they arrived in Algeria for a holiday last year.
The children are being held by Mohamed Azzaoui's family
in the city of Mostaganem.
He was a champion boxer
who shared his skills with Maori youth of Northland.
- It's a great honour to have him in Kaikohe.
The NZ Consulate in Egypt has been supporting Mihi
but it's understood that she and the father
will negotiate within the next 48 hours.
