Okay, hello and welcome to the Paris Air Show
which proves, here more than anywhere else, that science is at the heart of enterprise.
We’re talking about innovation, about technology, about what’s to come
and by the way, I noticed this ‘punch line’, this recurring theme with Dassault Systèmes:
inventing the future.
Hey, speaking of which, when it comes to aerospace, what is the future?
Growth of 2% expected in 2017 for the global aerospace industry.
In civil aviation, that’s 3.5 billion travelers in 2016,
and over 35,000 airplanes expected to be built over the next 30 years.
It’s one of the challenges of tomorrow that faces aerospace companies;
they will have to increase the speed of production and operational efficiency,
which will inevitably take place through digital transformation.
So Olivier, we hear a lot of people talk about the industry of the future
but in concrete terms, what is the industry of the future?
And, for example in aerospace, what will an airplane factory look like
10 years from now?
The industry of the future is a program to help French companies,
large and small, to become much more competitive,
not only in France but also in export sales.
And so, the idea is to digitally transform their company
to help them work faster and more competitively.
In concrete terms, what does that mean for the field of aerospace?
It means that, tomorrow, in factories we will have cobotics,
humans working alongside robots to make tasks lighter
and, above all, to keep them connected, with information available through glasses,
through badges.
And how will we see the role, the contribution of Dassault Systèmes
in this industry of the future?
Dassault Systèmes already has more than 30 years of experience in various industrial fields.
So the idea is to bring this added value
that we have in our knowledge of our customers’ industrial businesses
and to see how we can help them, to guide them through this transformation.
Digital transformation means bringing in something
that lets people work together in a cross-functional manner.
We’ll obviously see you tomorrow at the same place for a new episode,
and you could be coming here, too!
It’s so easy – just share this video
and retweet it with the hashtags #3DEXPERIENCE #PAS17.
There are two tickets up for grabs – good luck, and see you tomorrow!
