Hey Everyone!
So today I’m going to teach you how to make some crochet bows. These are so simple and
perfect for beginners so lets get started!
Alright guys so I have my yarn and my hook ready. So I’m going to show you guys how
to do a magic ring, which some of you might be familiar with already if you’ve done
crochet before. Its pretty basic thing that you need to know. So what I’m going to do
is take my two fingers like so. I’m going to grab the end of the yarn like this, and
then I’m going to wrap this around my fingers. As you can see. Then I’m going to make like
an “X” I guess you could say you just cross it over and pull the yarn over my fingers
like so. So you should have something that looks like this.
So I’m just going to hold this there with my other finger for a moment, and I’m going
to take my crochet hook and I’m just going to pull this one right here, the second one
through. So while you are doing that you want to take out your fingers, and make sure that
the hook stays on.
So now I’m going to grab the working yarn and I’m going to hold onto it like this
while I’m working. Now I’m going to do four single stiches. So all you need to do
for that is just grab some of your working yarn, loop it over and then pull it through
like so.
So that is one, then do that again. Two. Loop it over and pull it through. Three. Loop it
over and pull it through. Four.
Then I’m going to stop for a moment to show you guys the difference in the bows that I’m
going to show you how to make. So these are the two bows you can make using this technique.
The first one is this bow that it looks like its more it has more of a triangle shape I
guess you can say whereas this one has a rounded shape. So this is the one I’m going to be
doing in this tutorial. If you want to do this one you need to do five single stitches.
So you saw what we did here was four single stitches, so for this one it is four single
stiches and for this one it is five. So all you need to do is change the amount of single
stiches. We would come back and do another single stich but since I’m going to be showing
you guys the rounded one I’m just going to leave it at that. I’m just noting that
you need to have five if you wanna make the other one.
Once we are done with that we are going to do a treble stitch or a triple stitch, you
can call it either or. And we are just going to loop over twice like I just did. So loop
once, loop twice.
And then just pull this down for a second, and pay attention to this part because I know
it can be pretty confusing the first time you’re just looking at it but its really
simple. So you guys see that I have the two loops that I just made right here. What I’m
going to do is stick my needle through the ring and pull a piece like this. Really what
you are doing is pulling the working yarn through the magic ring. So, I’m going to
grab another piece of thread, and I’m going to loop it through the first two loops. So
now we should have three loops, and I’m going to grab another one and loop it through
these two. So now we have two, and then the last one I’m going to take it and loop it
through, and then we have one left. So that is one triple stitch. So we are going to do
this two more times. Now that I have done my three triples I’m going to do four more
singles. So like I mentioned, if you are making the other bow, at this point you are going
to do five instead of four. So one. Two. Three. And Four!
So you should have something that looks like this and I’m just going to take my needle
and go inside the magic ring, and I’m gonna to pull another loop from the working yarn
and pull it in like this. So you should have two loops on your needle and I’m just going
to pull one loop in through the original one. And, that is one side of the bow. So now we
are going to repeat the same exact thing that we did. So we are going to make four single
stiches.
We are almost done! We’re just going to stick the needle into the magic ring again
and pull one loop. So we just pulled a loop the same thing we did before, and we’re
going to pull it through this loop. Then we are going to grab this piece of yarn and make
sure you hold on to your hook, and you’re just going to pull this. That is going to
tighten the bow, and we’re actually going to take this piece of yarn and loop it through
the loop that we have right here. And what we are going to do is just pull on both of
them. So this last part is pretty straight forward. You should have two pieces of yarn
now. So what I’m going to do is just once again, tighten it and then we’re going to
wrap it around the bow. Tie one knot right here and then pull. And then this is how I
finish it. Some people just hide the entire yarn into the bow itself, but I just grab
it and tuck it underneath the knots we just made. So I’m going to tuck in this side.
So this is what my bow looks like. If you guys would like to see more crochet tutorials

best to do more crochet tutorials in the future. See you guys next time! And for a tutorial
