Let's first open a file and plot it
Zoom in so that the plot takes up a good portion of the screen
Open up the keyframe editor though Controls >> Keyframing...
Let's also open up the view editor through Controls >> View...
We are going to make a 10 second movie, so change the number of frames to 300
Check Keyframing enabled and Use view keyframes
Let's make a video of a 360 degree spin around the plot
Add a view keyframe
Now scroll to time 75
We will rotate the view 90 degrees, so change the view normal to 1 0 0
Add another keyframe
Rotate the view 90 degrees every 75 frames and add the keyframes
Now we are done with the keyframing, so we can close both editors
Let's see how this looks!
Now we are ready to export the movie file
First, delete all the annotations by going to Controls >> Annotation...
To export the file, go to File >> Save Movie...
Click Next
Change the format to PNG images and make the resolution 1920 by 1080
Make sure to check Stereo movie as this is what makes the video 3D
Click the arrow to send those settings to the Output and click Next
Make sure the video is 30 frames per second and click Next
Change the directory and the filename and click Next
Ignore the email screen, so click Next then Finish
Now we have the left and right eye images ready to be stitched together with After Effects
