It is obvious that the Crimean Autonomous Republic is occupied by the Russian troops
and not the Crimean Self-defense forces,
but we decided to review the ammunition of the aggressor in the details, so that we can
clearly understand that the soldiers with no insignia belong to our Eastern neighbor.
The ammunition and weapon of the "green men" who stepped on the Ukrainian land, makes Ukrainian military very jealous,
because it represents the newest developments
of the military production of Russia.
None on them are marked "Made in the USSR".
JOURNALIST: Were those the Russian soldiers (in Ukraine)?
PUTIN: Take a look at the post-Soviet space. There is plenty of uniform that looks alike.
Anyone can by such uniform in the store.
As it turned out, neither in Ukraine, nor in Russia such uniform cannot be purchased.
The Eastern neighbor introduced it to its military a year ago. Not all military units
are equipped with this new ammunition called "Concept".
Our Crimean colleagues communicated with one of the so-called Self-defenders of Crimea,
whose outfits have more variety then the most of the occupiers.
His uniform is of a German origin. It's usually worn for hunting, fishing or strike ball games.
JOURNALIST: You are here with the Russian soldiers.
PSEUDO-OFFICER: Why do you think these re the Russian soldiers?
JOURNALIST: Who are they?
PSEUDO-OFFICER: I don't want to go into the details about who these guys are and where
do they live, but soon you will be very surprised when you find out who they are.
These are the Crimeans.
JOURNALIST: Where did these people get so many weapons?
PSEUDO-OFFICER: It was donated by the "good people".
This weapon is not in free access neither on the Crimean peninsula, nor in Russia.
It cannot be brought across the border without a special permission.
The identified weapon samples are the newest development in the Russian army.
For example, modernized Dragunov sniper rifle, silent rifled rifles, new automatic guns AK100
are possessed only by the Russian and Hungarian militaries.
Also we can distinguish portable disposable grenade launchers Aglen that only the Special Forces use.
Light automatic gun Petcheneg is found only in Russia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
Russian presence in Crimea is given away with their camouflage of three kinds: Marines,
Paratroopers, and General Staff of the Russian Special Forces.
Outside of these three, according to Vasyl Semenyuk, there is a united regiment of up
to 2000 Crimean locals.
I obey the orders of the Commander of the Company who is the Tver (Russia) Cossack.
He is my direct supervisor. I signed up because I found him as a capable officer,
and I will not risk my life or life of my subordinates with somebody less skilled.
The pseudo-officer prefers not to speak about his companions who even without car plates
and insignia cannot hide their origin from the Russian army.
He says it's for the safety sake of the families of the "green men".
While possession of such devices as optical instruments Tulip OSB, 1P93, and transport
vests 6ะจ117 can be explained with the corruption in the Russian military production complex,
selling Armed personnel carriers Tiger to a foreign country is nearly impossible to conceal.
There were the attempts to sell them to the Near East but it did not go well, because
even in Crimea they presented themselves as poor performers.
One Tiger may cost around 60,000 USD, depends on the bulk size (20, 30, 100 pieces), and
also on the installed equipment.
We have our old UAZ cars. Some Ukrainian manufacturers produce quality Armed personnel carriers but
they were never purchased by the military.
It is obvious that Russia sent to Crimea its best troops with the top-notch equipment.
The sad part is that the majority of the Russian units can only dream of such an equipped.
