But to remember it was a sin to kill a mocking bird. Good evening ladies and gentlemen
for tonights episode we will be giving you a movie review on to kill a mocking bird
tonight i have with me Patrick Fahd
and Jope Veidre
Hello, greetings. Firstly we will be taking to
you about the story of to kill a mocking bird.
To kill a mocking bird, is an American drama film based on the
book with the same name written by Harper Lee, the films protagonists are the Finchs.
The 1962 box office success that earned 10 times it's budget starts with the
young protagonists Scout and Jem.
Their father Atticus Finhc is played by Gregory Peck. Atticus, Atticus, it's Mr Cunningham
Good-morning Walter
does a great job in his role.
This film portrays the evil and effects of racism that occurred during the
1930s and can still be compared to today.
You *** lover
Atticus is a lawyer who has to defend Tom Robinson,
a black man accused of raping Mayella Ewell.
Bob Ewell, the father of Mayella is the villian
and the drunk in this film.
Another story line is
the kids trying to find out more
information on the haunted house next to them,
and the man that lives in it, Arthur "Boo" Radley. There goes
the meanest man that
ever took a breath of life. Why is he the meanest man?
Well one thing he has a boy named Boo that he keeps
chained to a bed in the house. Come on!
See he lives over there.
Boo only comes out at night.
When your asleep and its pitch dark
When you wake up at night you can hear him
Once i heard him scratchingon our screen door. But he
was gone by the time Atticus. Wonder what he does in there?
Wonder what he looks like? Well
judging from his tracks his about 6
and 1/2 feet tall
he draws squirrel.
and all the cats that you can catch.
There's all jaged scar
that runs all the way across his face
his teeth are yellow and rotten
His eyes are popped
any he drools most of the time.
Oh, I don't believe you.
Now we're going to be talking about the setting.
To kill a mocking bird is set in the 1930s in the fictional town
of Maycomb, Alabama. The film
takes place during 3 years of the great depression.
The town is very poor
and their are many residents
who are alcoholics and many forms of racism. Are we poor?
We are indeed.
We as poor as the Cunninghams? No
not exactly.
Cunningham are country folk, farmers
the crash hit them the hardest.
Now ill got to the characters. Atticus Finch
is a lawyer who strongly believes in justice.
He loves his children
and wants them to grow in a safe environment.
There is a lot of ugly things in this world son,
i wish i could keep them all away from you
but that's never possible.
He shows very little emotion
but can be seen through his actions like trusting his black maid babysitting for his children.
Jean-louis "Scout" Finch
starts off as a six year old
with innocent. With little idea about the problems
that occur around her. An older Scout is the narrator of the film.
As she matures over the 3 years
she starts to understand more about human nature and why racism happens.
Now ill go over to my friend, Patrick Fahd.
Jeremy "Jem" Finch is Scouts older brother and best friends with Dill.
He is a more understanding of racism than Scout
and shown to be more affected by the death of
Tom Robinson
Bob Ewell played by Jim Anderson is the antagonist in the film
Hey, Howdy
Mr Ewell
Cap't, i'm real sorry they
picked you to defend that *** that *** my Mayella
i don't know why i didn't kill him myself instead of going to the sheriff.
I would've saved you and the sheriff and the tax payers lots of trouble. Excuse me Mr Ewell, I'm very busy. Hey Cap't
somebody told me just know that you
they thought that you believe Tom Robinson's story, ain't our'n
You wrong man, you dead wrong
Mr Finch,
He's an alcoholic and a violent man who wants Tom Robinson to be convicted
because he's believed to *** his daughter.
Tom Robinson's trial
this is my favorite scene during the whole movie
it shows who are the good and bad in the film.
The trials about Ton Robinson who is accused of raping Mayella Ewell.
Tom Robinson is defended by Atticus Finch who is greatly mocked
for defending a ***.
This is one of the best films that show many characters
developments through out the 3 years.
The movie is in black and white
even though there was color, and portrays human nature.
Then this is a great moive for you.
She has merely broken a ridged and time honoured code of our society.
A code so severe that who ever brakes it is howned from our midst.
Is unfit to live with.
She must destroy the evidence
of her offence. But
what was the evidence of her offence,
Tom Robinson.
A human being here
she must put
Tom Robinson away from her.
Tom Robinson was to her a daily reminder
of what she did.
Now what did she do?
Well
Jope what do you think the rating is towards this movie?
i think ill give this film a strong
if you watch it, you'll understated it.If you take notes, it will be a great story
HEHEHEHE
You're a funny man
Yeah i got to say a
it's a good movie
sort of educational
tells you about
how the 1930s were
it was filmed so long ago
yet we still think about it know.
Exactly right, exactly right. Thats the strength of media
made a long time ago, people are
still looking at it now. You're exactly right Jope. Well to rap it up
i give it a 5 stars
pretty much Michael said it all, he summed up all the information.
