Printing is a new feature in Capture One 6 and you can open the printing dialog box…
By either pressing the printer icon or choosing File, Print
The printer dialogue holds many options so we'll just touch on the most important ones now
The first many deals with the printer and this dialogue interacts with your own printer…
drivers to set the paper size, printer profiles and so on
You can also use this dialogue to produce PDF files which could be really useful for
Sending to clients in an email, especially if you don't have your own website
Next is a menu for setting the units and guides and then a template menu to setting out your
images on the page
Capture One will let you print a single image per Page, or very easily create contact sheets
We’ll select the 4x5 contact sheet for Now, which means four photos across and five down
You can set the size of the margins, the space around the edges and in the layout menu
You can control and adjust the layout very precisely sitting the number of rows
and columns, as well as the spacing and image sizes
Image settings allows you to control the rotation and magnification of your images within the
print area
The annotation section let’s you add descriptions or file names below the images
And you can even had a watermark over your Images, either as text or perhaps you logo…
as an image file
One advantage from printing from Capture One is that if you have selected more photos than there
will fit onto a single page, the print dialog will automatically create extra pages
as required
Printing directly with all the image adjustments you have made to your files is yet one
more way that Capture One 6 can improve your workflow and productivity!
