My goal as a Machine Technology student is to learn as much
as I can in my career.
We're learning about manually programming programs to machine
out parts, different sizes and radiuses
and linear lines, all that stuff.
My favorite thing about the machine tech program is no
pressure because in a production machine shop world everything is
on a timer.
You have to get stuff done and you have to get parts out.
You really don't have much time to learn.
Allan Hancock College has affected my work relationship
to where it's easier to understand G-Code, M-Code,
how to work manual machines a lot faster than I used to be.
I already work at Helical so I work
with this machine on a daily basis.
So I'm pretty familiar with machining,
it's made my job a lot easier from when I started to now.
