>> Joe: A waterfall of governmental secrets continues to pour over our quivering, ignorant
bodiesÖ
>> Elliott: Drenching our crevices, straight from a glacial source by the name of Edward
Snowden. This time around are slides that most definitely prove the existence of UFOs.
>> Joe: Or not.
>> Elliott: Maybe not.
>> Joe: Or notÖmaybe.
>> Elliott: HmmmÖ.
>> Joe: Nestled within a set of 50 picturesÖfrom the governmentÖ are three slides that would
wet the whistle of any good self-respecting UFO conspiracy theorist worth her weight in
fancy, yet functional tinfoil hats.
>> Elliott: Like all self-respecting UFO photos, these babies look like theyíre straight from
the 1950s.
>> Joe: Weíre a sock hop away from an I Love Lucy reunion.
>> Elliott: And thatíd be creepy and weird.
>> Joe: Cause theyíre all dead.
>> Elliott: The three photos have already been rigorously investigated by online, skeptical
detectivesÖ
>> Joe: Deskeptives.
>> Elliott: And weíve got a hubcap, a deflated weather balloon, and a burry seagull pooping.
>> Joe: Identified Flying Objects. Boo.
>> Elliott: But lets get down to brass tax here people, itís not the photos that should
get your conspiracy synapses freaking, itís the accompanying powerpoint presentation,
lovingly titled, ëThe Art of Deception: Training for a New Generation of Online Covert Operationsí.
We touched on this presentation in an earlier video, and you can click here or in the description
to watch that bundle of handsome.
>> Joe: Basically, itís all about injecting false information into the internet zeitgeist
to manipulate and sway public opinion in a manner that the government sees fit. Which
government? WelpÖ leaked powerpoint was from the British GCHQ to present to the Untied
States NSA.
>> Elliott: But the UFO stuff, and the history of UFO manipulation is actually kind of interesting,
even if it is used to subconsciously persuade you into loving Big Brother.
>> Joe: Itís not about the existence of aliens, itís a about using the belief of them against
the people. Nigel Watson, author of the Haynes UFO Investigations Manual says, ìGovernment
agencies are still aware of the power of the belief in UFOs, and that they are willing
to use the Internet to exploit these beliefs. Such deception can be used as a means of covering-up
more mundane terrestrial activities (like the testing of secret aircraft or military
exercises) or to undermine the credibility of ufologists.î
>> Elliott: He continues, ìThe overall point of the presentation is to discuss how the
Internet and modern media can be used to discredit people and to spread deception. Unfortunately,
there is no explanatory text with the UFO pictures, so we can only speculate about what
point they were being used to make.î
>> Joe: Sucks. No aliens. Just a government trying to make me think things like, they
canít do wrong and I love themÖ damn it. They got me.
>> Elliott: Have you guys ever had any type of alien encounter or experience? Tell us
your stories. Letís start a rumor together.
