Hi I’m Kristen, and this is my springtime theme layered pocket fold design. Now I designed
this invitation because customers are very often asking us how to get this nice, stacked,
layered look with the layered reception, direction, and response card I have in the back here.
And, I personally just love this chiyogami and I wanted to try out our new portrait pocket
folds as well as our ink jet printable Petallics paper. But of course, you may not want to
use this exact color scheme. You have your own seasons, themes in mind, etcetera; so
I wrote a step-by-step tutorial on how to make a design just like this one, and in the
tutorial I link to all of the materials I used so I made it easy for you to choose your
own colors. I cut all of my individual cards out of eight and a half by eleven card stock,
and all of these individual decorative chiyogami strips as well. And I did this using a paper
trimmer, like this one. I know many of you like to cut your own paper down from eight
and a half by eleven, so this would be a good project for you. And of course I provide you
with all the exact dimensions for both the cards and the chiyogami; and I even provide
the templates, so after you print all of your own custom wording, you glue on all of the
individual strips, and then of course, glue this decorative chiyogami layer to the center
panel, the invitation card to the center panel, and then you place it all inside the pocket
and wrap it up neatly. So if you’re interested in this pocket fold design, read my tutorial,
and if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us; we’d love to hear
from you.
