Hi! I’m Mathie from PinturaFacilParaTi.com (Easy Painting for You)
and what we will do today is to transfer a photocopy drawing
to a T-shirt
It is very important to know that the toner black lines
of the photocopy, will stay on the t-shirt.
You can not erase them and normally you will see them when painting over
I chose this white T-shirt so the drawing will look very good
Also because this dragon
is a representative character of the celebration of my village, and people always dress in white at this event.
The first thing we’ll do is to place the design where we want to transfer it.
You need to know that as we are going to turn the paper
the drawing will reverse
So place it where you like, and fix it there
well fixed edges with masking tape
so it doesn't move as you transfer the design
To transfer the design will use a piece of cotton
and then a solvent: industrial acetone or Thinner. The nail acetone won’t help you for this process
This product should be used in ventilated areas, wearing gloves and mask to avoid inhalation or skin contact.
Having any contact with skin or eyes, rinse with water or see a doctor if necessary.
This is a technique that should only be done by adults.
The Industrial acetone is much stronger than the nail acetone, so we must be extra careful with it
So moistened cotton with acetone
and apply it with small touches
on T-shirt
so the toner is transferred
and the design appears on our shirt
as it is a very volatile product, it is evaporating and drying of the top
Before using the acetone you buy at the drugstore
please read very well the use instructions of the product.
and above all you have to be in a well ventilated place so you won’t feel dizzy or intoxicated.
As I wanted to make a great design, I enlarged the best I could my photocopy.
The next step will be removing the masking tape
and removing the design
In this case, I obtained a very light design
So maybe painting will the cover very well
the intensity of the black lines depends on the quality of the photocopy toner
has been used to make the photocopy.
I hope this technique will serve you
