Hello Lovelies, this is Megan from Little Hot Tamale and today we are making tassels.
So you can either use embroidery thread or crochet thread.
For my tassel I*m using crochet thread and it is the lightweight version, so I need about
24 wraps and if you are using the heavy duty one it will be about 12 wraps.
Alright, so I*m using 8mm jump ring and I*m just going to put my string through the ring
and then fold it in half.
Alright for the next step I*m using gold thread, but of course you don*t have to use gold thread
you can use whatever color you want.
So now we are going to use our gold thread and we are going to wrap it around our tassel.
Now for mine I*m going to leave a tail for my thread and I*m just going to wrap the other
end around the tassel several times to lock tail in place.
I like to do it this way so I don*t have to worry knotting it onto my tassel.
So I*m going to take the other end and I*m just going to use a needle, and I*m going
to thread it in and out where the gold it where I just wrapped it. Now this will make
your tassel very sturdy and you don*t have to worry about the threads falling out once
you trim it.
and you only need to do this about 3 or 4 times to lock it in place.
So I love these tassels so much, they are awesome for all your craft projects and they
are perfect for jewelry too.
Alright, I*m just trimming off my gold thread, I don*t have to worry about knotting it because
everything is locked into place.
Alright, I*m going to take my scissors and trim where the loops are.
and then try and get everything even. And there you go there is your tassel. Super easy
and fun to make. So I hope you guys liked this episode of "Build Your Stash" and if
you did please give it a thumbs up and thank you so much for watching and I hope you guys
have an amazing day! Toodles! :)
