Heres a story
about a family
who have built themselves a very nice cartel
all of them have used the gold, of the public
but their back room smells
The Pima Bunch
The Pima Bunch
Here's the mess that they made the Pima Bunch
Hello Tucson...
And all of Pima County.
It’s time for another episode of...
The Pima Bunch!
I have two words for you: Rio Nuevo.
Rio... Nuevo!
Like spitting out a furball! Rio Nuevo--a name for the history books.
Only one of the biggest wastes of taxpayer dollars in Arizona... ever.
The original four-person board spent $230 million of your tax dollars... on what?
For what?
No-thing!
What was your $230 million supposed to be spent on?
Scott Avenue – budget $600k – final cost $9million.
4th Avenue Underpass – budget $17 million – cost $46 million.
Free rent for favored few, including – Maynards, MOCA, Rialto Theater and on and on.
Oh, remember the movie for the Heritage Museum that local filmmakers could have made blindfolded?
The one they outsourced for $820 thousand dollars?
Yeah. Have you ever seen it?
No.
That’s funny. Neither has anyone else.
Even funnier, the “Heritage Museum”...
Never... got... BUILT!!!
How Pima County Bunch. Way overpaying for a movie, then not building the place you’re
supposed to show it.
The original four-person board: Anne-Marie Russel.
Jeff DiGregorio.
Victor Soltero, a former mayor of South Tucson.
And another former South Tucson Mayor and Former Pima County Board of Supervisor, Dan
Eckstrom.
On their watch, together with Tucson City Manager Mike Hein -
Who was former South Tucson City Manager and Former Pima County Assistant to Chuck Huckelberry,
Tucson blew the opportunity of a lifetime to revitalize downtown.
We did get something out of it all.
Like?
EMILY A bill for $230 million, broken promises and
lots of beautiful dirt lots.
What a... great deal for us taxpayers.
Rio Nuevo, courtesy of your Pima County -
Cronies!
Had enough yet?
We’ll talk more about South Tucson next time here on -
The Pima (County) Bunch!
See ya then!
