Hi, my name is Veronica Baragas with my WigglesandGiggles.com, and I'd like to share with you a little about
starting a church daycare. So this can be a lot of fun for whoever is starting out the
daycare, because it's really getting involved into the community and whatnot, so I would
definitely look into checking out the hours, is it going to be during service hours, are
you going to offer daycare during the week, in the evenings, or whatnot, kind of checkout
what it is you're wanting to offer as far as a church daycare. But still look into whatever
regulations that the state may offer, get together with your church administration,
and make sure that you see about getting some quality care in there, and still setting up
the standard and regulations. And if you're not regulated, because a lot of the times
church daycares are non-profit, so it can get kind of sticky as far as regulations go.
Make sure you do some good research, but nonetheless, if there's not too many regulations or whatnot,
I would still try to run your daycare in a church, especially in a church, to the highest
quality possible. So make sure you get some good workers in there, even parent volunteers,
things like that. But make sure you check with your office staff and check with your
state regulations as well.
