Hi I'm Rachel Dayan for Expert Village. Today now I'm going to show you all the ingredients
there we're going to use tonight. You have to make sure you have all the spices because
we're going to use different spices that usually are not found in house, and most of the houses
if it's not a eastern house. Let's go into the ingredients. We have 1 cup of chick peas,
1/4 teaspoon of cumin, 1/4 of turmeric,1/2 of black pepper, lemon. We're going to use
1/2 to 2 tablespoons of lemon, parsley. You need 1 teaspoon of parsley, but if you don't
have the dried one, I actually prefer to use a fresh one. It makes a better taste, 2 garlic
cloves, bread crumbs, 2 tablespoons of bread crumbs, 1 egg, 3/4 tablespoon of salt, tahini
1/2 tablespoon, and oil for frying the falafel. It's better to use a soy oil because it when
it gets hot it burns slower than other oils, so to fry I prefer to use soy oil. A plate
with something to absorb the oil, we're going to use the pot twice, once for boiling the
chick peas, and next the 2nd time for fry the falafel. We're going to use a strainer
spoon to take the falafel out of the oil, a bowl, and a spoon to mix up the falafel
mixture before it's ready, and you'll also need the food processor to grind the chick
peas with all the ingredients together.
