Hi, this is Robert Stewart with hill13.com. Now we've shown you how to get down to the
bolt, and inspect the o-rings, but let's assume that for for arguments sake, that the o-rings
need to be replaced on either the front or the rear bolt. Now we're going to look at
that and I want you to pay special attention to this piece of the trigger assembly here
floating on this pin, with this spring behind it because when we start to take these parts
apart; the elements apart, you're going to have pieces that are going to want to move
around and you don't want to let them get away from you. What we're going to start with
is to take the end cap loose and then remove the linkage arm, will allow us to take the
two bolts, the rear, and front bolt out. So what we're going to do is we're going to pull
this up and once you that is exactly what I'm talking about. That's the magic of television.
Our spring just shot away. Even though I had my finger against it, it still got away, so
we'll recover that in a minute. What we're going to do now is we're going to remove carefully
these two loaded springs here, behind the rear bolt. Then we're going to take up the
linkage arm which is this piece of light gauge metal you see, that runs from the rear bolt
to the front bolt. And once we get that out; then up and out we can take it loose, and
we can actually pull the front bolt loose from the air chamber and we can now remove
the rear bolt and take it up to have a closer inspection and replace the o-rings, if necessary.
Pay careful attention to this ring here, too. This is a a rubber bushing that sets toward
the rear of the bolt. You don't want to lose that and you really don't want to let these
springs come apart too much, if you can help it. If you'll notice, inside there's a sleeve;
a receiver sleeve here on the rear bolt that that spring has to line up with. So we're
just going to set this part aside here and we're going to look at the front bolt. Now,
when this goes back on, you want to make sure that when you put the two pieces in you bring
the rear the front bolt back in, in such a way that they line up again and the linkage
bolt can go back inside the way it's supposed to. So, the steps in reverse are exactly the
same. We'll have to recover a spring in order to put our trigger back together, but then
we can mount up the rear bolt, and slide the front bolt in, put the linkage arm on it once
the bolt is back in place and the end cap is in its groove and you're ready to put the
weapon back together.
