So whether you're spinning forwards or backwards, you do want to keep the poi parallel to each
other. The tendency when you're first starting is often to spin them like this or like this.
One way to practice, to get used to having them spin in a parallel line is again to go
next to a wall. And get as close to the wall as you can without hitting the wall. And do
this on both sides. Or if in your house you have a narrow hallway, you can practice in
the hallway. Another way you can track whether your poi are moving parallel to each other
or not, is to practice in front of a mirror. This is a really great way to notice the techniques
that you are using, that you may not be able to see otherwise. And once again, you do want
to have your hands, your palms of your hands, facing each other. There's a slight flick
of m wrist, but I am not overly moving my wrists. I'm letting them stay relaxed, and
letting the weight of the poi move the motion.
